In February, we visited Curtis V. Cooper Primary Health Care, Inc. in Savannah. Dr. Teresa McLean provided an educational lecture to discuss colon cancer and methods to improve patient screening rates at their Center. Mr. Jay Mehta, the founder of UHRU, was also present to inform providers and staff of UHRU’s background, mission, and purpose. Colon cancer screening brochures, clinic posters, and FIT kits were donated. A donation check was presented to Dr. Carolyn Eiland, Chief Clinical Officer, to help the Center implement our action plan to get more patients screened for colon cancer.
