David has BS degree in May 2017 from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Major in Biology, with Honors Laureate-Distinction. David is in Medical School at University of Louisville School of Medicine, will graduate with MD degree in May 2021.
David is a volunteer for Unified Healthcare for the Rural Underserved – GA Colon Cancer Prevention Project
He presented to members of a FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) in Brunswick, GA about ways to increase CRC Screening rates, specifically targeting rural and underserved populations. Also help in writing Grants to increase funding for UHRU
Isabel Zhang is a senior high school student that attends North Oconee High school. She is currently heavily involved with research regarding nanomedicine and neuroscience at the University of Georgia. She also loves to get involved in her community by volunteering and has a plethora of leadership and networking experience. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music and running with her friends. She hopes to major in neuroscience or cellular biology and wants to attend medical school in the future.
UHRU to begin first project in India!

UHRU receives $35,000.00 from donors in January!
January was a big month of fundraising for UHRU, in which we received 2 separate large donations to help fund our initiatives in rural Georgia and India. Thank you so much for helping us make the world a better place!
Areas of Interest
There are certain rural areas where healthcare is particularly absent and are considered "areas of interest" to the UHRU team. These are areas that we believe are in need of greater funding, volunteers, resources, and support.
